Several analysts released updated research on West African Resources (ASX: WAF) following the company’s record high June quarterly gold production. Canaccord’s latest report has a $5.75/share target on WAF: “At the group level, WAF delivered record quarterly production of 125koz and remains on track to achieve 2026 guidance of 430-490koz at AISC <US$1,900/oz,” analyst Paul Howard wrote. “YTD production is 233koz at US$1,823/oz AISC, highlighting the benefit of having two operating production centres. WAF's balance sheet remains strong, in our view. Cash and bullion increased to A$1.12bn at the end of the JunQ'26 from A$1.06bn at the end of March, representing a 6% increase QoQ.”

Euroz Hartleys raised its target to $5.70/share (from $5.55/share): “Another excellent Q result from WAF, with net cash up after growth capex and government payments, and production and costs tracking well to guidance,” analyst Mike Millikan wrote. “WAF remains materially undervalued given its production profile and cash generation, with the Burkina Faso published decree to acquire 25% of Kiaka for A$176m removing some uncertainty. The strong FCF generation in CY26-27 is expected to support early debt repayment and provide capital returns via dividends and/or buybacks. We now assume a ~20cps dividend in CY26 (~46% payout ratio, ~7% yield).”

Argonaut’s latest report has a $5.60/share target: “WAF’s 2QCY26 production result of 125.2koz had been pre-reported, which was 8% higher than our estimates at the time,” analyst Patrick Streater wrote. “Reported AISC for 2QCY26 was better than expected, although cash and bullion build was only modest (6%) for 2QCY26 following higher income taxes and minority payments versus our estimates. Key short-term catalysts for WAF include a potential capital return to shareholders to be announced in the 2HCY26, along with permitting progress for the Kiaka explosives facility and the M5 South underground. Buy rating maintained.”

Macquarie maintained its $4.00/share target: “FCF generation remains strong, with minimal production impacts over the near term,” analyst Regan Burrows wrote. “Shareholder returns and/or buybacks targeted for 2H CY26. Our target price is maintained at $4.00, and we retain our Outperform recommendation.”

Evolution Capital updated coverage on BLS Pharmaceuticals (ASX: BLS) maintaining its SPEC BUY recommendation and increasing its price target to $1.60/share (from $1.50/share) following a record FY26 result, with revenue and EBITDA both landing at the top end of management guidance. The higher valuation reflects stronger cash generation, the removal of a previously forecast equity raising, and continued confidence in the company's growth outlook.
